Virtual Cash Terminals (VCTs) in RepairQ
VCTs are the gateway for processing any type of transaction on tickets. In order to add a payment to a ticket, you must use a computer that has a VCT assigned to it. Locations can create as many terminals as they need, but VCTs can only be paired to one computer at a time since the pairing is cached in your browser.

1. Log into the RepairQ location where you are setting up the VCT. From the Navigation Bar, go to Settings -> Location Settings.
2. On the Location Settings Overview page, click the Account category on the left column to expand the dropdown and click Location Info. Alternatively, you can also click the large Location Info Icon on the overview page.
3. On the Location Information page, Scroll down to Number of Terminals. You need to have at least 1 terminal available to receive payments. Set this number to how many terminals you plan to use to perform transactions at your location.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and click Save to submit your changes. You will be directed to the Locations Overview page.
Creating Your VCT
1. On the left Settings column, click Payments -> Cash Terminals (VCT).
2. The Terminal Settings page will list any VCTs. On the right side of the page, click Add Terminal.
3. Name your cash terminal to help identify the placement and/or purpose of this VCT. Next, select the Location assignment for this VCT.
Note: Assigning a VCT to the same computer each day will help with consistent Cash Reconciliation reporting.
4. Once you are satisfied with your changes, click Save to create the VCT.
5. Once you create your VCT, it will be listed on the Terminal Settings page. From here you can view the VCT Location, Name, Started On date, Status, and available Actions for the terminal. Click the Edit button to make changes to a VCT or the red X button to delete a VCT.
Note: VCTs can only be deleted if there has been no transaction activity. If the VCT has ever been opened, it will be locked from deletion. This is intended for maintaining proper record-keeping. If you choose to retire a VCT, you can edit the name to indicate it is no longer in use.
