Device Activation Guide with POI Manager

You must complete these steps before your device is active and ready to use.

Activating your Bluefin P2PE Device

How to login to the POI Manager

The POI manager is where you will control the state of your devices.  The website is found at  Prior to your device being shipped, the Custodian (your company’s P2PE point person) of the P2PE device will have received a login to the POI Manager via email from Bluefin.  The subject of that email is Bluefin: P2PE POI Manager: Account Created

Enter your User Name and Password from the email in to the corresponding fields of the website.

How to Change Your Password

Once you login to the POI Manager we recommend you change your password.  To do this, click on the profile link next to your name at the top right of the page.

Inside the change password area you will be able to review your information and make any update necessary as well as change your password.  Insert the password that was sent to you by Bluefin and create a new personalized password.

Receiving and Inspecting Your Shipment

At the top of the page click on the Shipments button.  On this page you will see all of the shipments that have been sent to you from Bluefin.

Click on the View button on the right side of the shipment (under Actions heading) you would like to receive.

Next click on the Receive button on the right, as seen in the picture above.  This will take you to the inspection page.

Click on the Inspect button to begin inspection of the devices.  At this time you should open the box and find the device wrapped in a tamper evident bag.  On the outside of this bag, you will find a series of digits that you will need to insert into the Tamper Label field.  

You should now look through the clear bag and find the S/N or Serial Number of the device and enter the number into the Serial Number field on the page.  Once you have entered both the Tamper Label and the Serial Number on to the page you will need to click on the green check mark to verify your device.  After you have verified all of the devices in your shipment you will need to click the green continue button at the bottom left of the page to insure the device verification.

Deploying Your Device

Click on the Devices button at the top of the page.


Find the device you would like to deploy and click on the Edit button on the right.

Now you will need to click the Deploy button at the top. If you have multiple devices at your business you can set a Nickname to identify the device without the serial number. Click on Submit once you have updated the changes to the Nickname field.

Click on the Compliance button at the top of the page. In this area, you will find a complete guide for P2PE and the POI Manager.  We recommend that you download the Annual PIM Attestation and the POI Device Inspection documents.

Now you are ready to open the bag and plug in your new P2PE device.
