Integrated Warranty Sales- Selling Warranty Coverage

There are 4 “strategies” that a store may configure for selling warranties. One strategy is selected as the “Repair Strategy” and one strategy is selected as the “Merchandise Strategy.” The strategies are as follows:

  • Require manual selection of warranty (no auto-prompt)
  • Display recommended offer prompt automatically
  • Automatically add Extended Service Protection coverage at zero price
  • Automatically add Accidental Damage coverage at zero price

Repair Devices (Repair Strategy)

  • Require manual selection of warranty (no auto-prompt)
    • Offers are retrieved, and either a “Get Warranty Offers” button appears or a “Select category for warranty offer” select appears inline with the warrantable item

  • Display recommended offer prompt automatically
    • Offers are retrieved, and the “recommended” offer is displayed in a modal window as soon as the “Initial Diagnostics / Notes” for the device are applied. The first offer displayed should be for Accidental Damage Coverage. When you click “not interested” it should present a second offer for Extended Service Protection. If you click “not interested” again on the second offer, then the modal should dismiss.
    • The Auto-Display Offer Controls section can be used to manage the points at which the offer prompt will be displayed.

  • Automatically add Extended Service Protection (ESP) coverage at zero price
    • If the “Auto-Sale Minimum” is met, then when the ticket is saved as “closed” an ESP warranty is added to the ticket at zero dollars. The auto-sale minimum is compared against the sum total of all labor and part items sold on the ticket where the device relation is to the repair device. When the labor & part charges exceed the auto-sale minimum then the warranty is added. If a warranty is already sold for the item, then no additional warranty is added to the ticket.
    • In addition, an Accidental Damage Coverage (ADH) offer is displayed in a modal window as soon as the “Initial Diagnostics / Notes” for the device are applied. ADH is an upsell to ESP
  • Automatically add Accidental Damage (ADH) coverage at zero price
    • If the “Auto-Sale Minimum” is met, then when the ticket is saved as “closed” an ADH warranty is added to the ticket at zero dollars. The auto-sale minimum is compared against the sum total of all labor and part items sold on the ticket where the device relation is to the repair device. When the labor & part charges exceed the auto-sale minimum then the warranty is added. If a warranty is already sold for the item, then no additional warranty is added to the ticket.
